The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa

Franklin D. Roosevelt on a visit to Lake Lure

A Rich Historical Legacy

The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa is one of the original North Carolina landmarks, built when the waters of Lake Lure first began to fill.

Over the years, the Inn has hosted a diverse range of celebrities, from F . Scott Fitzgerald, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Emily Post, and Calvin Coolidge, to Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey during the filming of "Dirty Dancing."

The Inn Today

In 2005, the Inn enjoyed a full restoration to its historic splendor, and now features an outstanding collection of period art and antiques, duplicating the aesthetic experiences grand hotels of the 1920's provided.

The Inn offers gracious accommodations and a choice of guest rooms, suites and bungalows. Many rooms feature our signature beds, restored tiles and nickeled fixtures from the original baths. All rooms have satellite TV, and telephone.

Dine indoors at the beautiful Veranda Restaurant or on the veranda overlooking the pool and Lake Lure. The Moose and Goose Lounge is a great spot to relax with friends and family. Ask our staff about the full range of treatments available at our spa, Allure.

The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa has long been a favorite location for weddings and other group events. Learn about our group accommodations, special group menus, and the many amenities we can provide for your special gathering.
